New Leak Shows Huawei’s Triple-Screen Foldable in Action

Huawei’s upcoming triple-screen folding phone has surfaced again in newly leaked images, further intensifying anticipation among tech enthusiasts. The photos, shared by Weibo user Whylab and later reported by Android Authority, depict Huawei’s Consumer Group CEO, Yu Chengdong, holding the highly awaited device. These leaks offer a glimpse into the phone’s slim and sleek design, suggesting it may rival the thinness of current single-hinged foldables like the Samsung Galaxy Fold 6, despite its more complex folding mechanism. The device, while maintaining a slender profile, features a prominent camera bump, reflecting the industry’s trend of balancing portability with advanced camera capabilities.

The leaks also hint at the phone’s potential to unfold into a 10-inch tablet, slightly larger than the existing 8-inch foldable tablets, which could provide users with a more expansive screen for various tasks. Android Authority suggests that the official launch of this device could occur as soon as next month. This latest leak follows a previous sighting of the device last week when Chengdong was seen using the unfolded phone on a plane. That image revealed the presence of a screen crease, a common issue in foldable displays, along with a small front-facing camera positioned on the top left side. These details suggest Huawei’s ongoing efforts to refine its design, balancing practicality with innovative technology.

While the concept of a tri-fold OLED phone has been explored by other companies, such as Xiaomi, TCL, and even Samsung with its Flex S concept at CES 2022, Huawei’s device seems to be the most advanced and closest to market readiness. If successfully launched, this triple-screen foldable phone could set a new benchmark in the foldable phone industry, appealing to a broad spectrum of users who require the versatility of both a smartphone and a larger tablet in one device. Although details regarding the price and exact release date remain undisclosed, the continuous stream of leaks and rumors indicates that Huawei is gearing up to make a significant impact with this innovative technology.
